CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS and NOMINATIONS
for
AN ANTHOLOGY OF WOMEN'S MYSTERY STORIES
FROM 1986-2006
Designed to be a representative selection of the past twenty years in women's mystery short stories, this project is inspired by the twentieth anniversary of Sisters-in- Crime (SinC), though it is not endorsed by the organization. (SinC does not promote individual writers, but rather works to effect advances for all women mystery writers.)
The project is supported by Teckno Press of Martin Greenberg, the mutli-award-winning anthologist, including The Ellery Queen Award for lifetime achievement in mystery editing.
I will edit and introduce the collection, as well as write a critical afterword--so as not to spoil the endings!--in which I discuss the stories and their place in and contribution to the mystery genre.
If you are interested in participating in the project, either by submitting a story of your own or nominating another's story for consideration, please contact me.
Send submissions/nominations to
ehiggins@nycap.rr.com
SUBJECT: mystery anthology proposal
Include the title of the story and name of author, date published and name of publication, and where the story can be found, if not the story itself.
